3 Days Left — Lifetime Subscriptions ($200 via Locals or Bitcoin) go away forever

Apologies if you don’t need this reminder — if you already have a Lifetime Subscriptions or want to stick to the Monthly/Yearly option — but I want to be 100% sure everyone knows this happening. Because this deadline is firm and I can’t do any exceptions.

  • Lifetime Lunduke Journal Subscriptions are only available until Friday, October 11th, 2024.  That's 3 days from now.

  • Lifetime Subscriptions are discounted to $200 for these last few days.  Just for kicks.

  • Friday is also the last day any subscription can be obtained via Bitcoin.

You can find all of the details in this article (or this video) -- including the reasons why no new Lifetime Subscriptions will be offered after next Friday, and details on the new Lunduke Journal Affiliate Program.

If you have picked up a Lifetime Sub in the last couple days, you will be receiving an email shortly (if you haven't already) with confirmation.

How To Get a Lifetime Subscription

All the benefits of a Standard Monthly subscription... but pay once and never need to pay again.  $200.

  • Go to Lunduke.Locals.com/support.

  • Select "Give Once".

  • Enter "200" into the amount field.

  • After checking out, Lunduke will toss you an email once your account is set to full lifetime status.

How To Get a Lifetime Subscription (with Bitcoin)

You can also obtain a Lifetime Subscription via Bitcoin.

  • Make sure you have a Lunduke.Locals.com account (a free account works just fine).

  • Send $200 worth of Bitcoin (or more) to the following address:

  • Email "[email protected]" with the following information: What time you made the transaction, how much was sent (in Bitcoin), and the email address you use (or plan to use) on Locals.com.

The futility of Ad-Blockers

Ads are filling the entirety of the Web -- websites, podcasts, YouTube videos, etc. -- at an increasing rate. Prices for those ad placements are plummeting. Consumers are desperate to use ad-blockers to make the web palatable. Google (and others) are desperate to break and block ad-blockers. All of which results in... more ads and lower pay for creators.

It's a fascinatingly annoying cycle. And there's only one viable way out of it.

  1. Saturday, October 31st is the last day to get your name into the LCOS About Window by picking up a Lifetime Lunduke Journal Subscription.

  2. Saturday, October 31st is also the last day when Lifetime Subscriptions are massively discounted. (Crazy, how those two dates line up! What a coincidence!)

  3. Sunday, November 1st is the official release date for LCOS 1.0!

Here’s what to do:

  2. Within a few hours, you’ll receive a confirmation email from yours truly with all the details.

A release date has officially been selected!

The Lunduke Computer Operating System (LCOS) 1.0 will ship on November 1st… just two weeks from now!

A few quick tidbits worth mentioning:

The Lunduke Computer Operating System (LCOS) is flying towards the official, 1.0 release — with version 0.9.3 now available for testing!

Between now and 1.0, LCOS is laser focused on a) fixing bugs and b) making sure it runs (and runs well) on as much hardware as possible.

Right now, LCOS needs your help. Here’s how:

  1. Test the latest LCOS release on your hardware. Hit any snags? Report them on GitHub, the Lunduke Forum, or via DM on X.

  2. Donate to LCOS (and The Lunduke Journal), so that we can expand our hardware testing lab (among other expenses).
