There’s more and more happening here at The Lunduke Journal — so here’s a quick look at what’s happening right now (and in the week ahead).
Command Line Week starts Wednesday
This coming Wednesday (October 12th) marks the beginning of Command Line Week!
I’ll be posting a number of articles and podcasts (such as this weeks “The History of the First Computer Shell” article) — and the community will be posting about all manner of Command Line / Terminal / Shell topics over at Lunduke.Locals.com. Much like we did with the “DOS Week” from last month.
I expect this to be an incredibly fun week.
More Lunduke Journal Monthly PDFs
The monthly, DRM-Free PDF for March, 2022 has just been posted. And the September, 2022 issue was posted a little over a week ago. These are a great way to read The Lunduke Journal (including all of the exclusives) offline or on a tablet.
You can download all of the Monthly PDFs on this download page.
More Opportunities to Hang Out
We have one of the nicest, nerdiest communities around. All of you are simply a blast to hang out with.
With that in mind, there are a few great opportunities to hang out coming up:
Saturday, October 15th @ 11am (Eastern) : Video Chat with Lunduke for Founding Members and Lifetime Subscribers
Saturday, October 15th @ 12pm (Eastern) : Text Chat for all subscribers with Lunduke.Locals.com access. [This is a weekly, recurring event.]
Friday, October 21st @ 2pm (Eastern) : Video Chat with Lunduke for Founding Members and Lifetime Subscribers
Note: The “Text Chat” is currently only available to subscribers with Lunduke.Locals.com access (including Founding Members and Lifetime Subscribers, in addition to all of you who get regular subscriptions via Locals). This is simply because Substack does not offer a similar functionality. I am currently investigating options to allow Substack subscribers to be able to take part in these chats as well and hope to have something to announce on that soon.
In the meantime, if you’d like to take part, I highly recommend looking at either the Founding Member of Lifetime Subscriber options. They’re pretty great anyway.
