Welcome to all the new nerds! Here's some Locals tips to get you started.
Lots of new folks are joining Lunduke.Locals.com right now. So here's a few tips to help you really get the most out of it.
1) Use the Content page.
Go here: https://lunduke.locals.com/content
That one page has a searchable, sortable list of every video, podcast, PDF, and article that I've published. Super, duper handy.
2) Feel free to post!
Lunduke.Locals.com is a publishing platform (for everything I create)... plus an amazing community. All in one single interface. And everyone (as long as you're a subscriber) has the ability to make top-level posts for everyone else.
Post questions. Post links to cool stuff. Post a picture of your latest project. If it's nerdy and interesting to you, let everyone know! (And feel free to self-promote! If you make something nerdy, tell the world!)
3) The rules around here are simple.
a) No cursin or swearin'.
b) No politics.
c) Avoid posting A.I. generated content.
d) Be Excellent to Each Other.
Pretty simple right? Everyone is welcome here -- and we try to keep things safe for work (and safe for families).
4) The Locals App is handy.
There is a Locals app for both iOS and Android. It is an incredibly handy way to listen to podcast episodes, chat with folks, and the like.
On the Locals app, at the bottom of the screen, you'll find a "Content" tab that looks like a little Play button. Just like the Content page -- everything is available right there. Super handy.
5) No ads -- all supported by you.
We pride ourselves on being ad-free around here. No Big Tech money. No sponsorships from any company. 100% supported by all of you.
If you'd like to support The Lunduke Journal, grab a subscription. If you'd like to save money while doing that, grab a yearly (which gives you 3 free months per year).
That's it. That's the whole sales pitch. š
6) That's it!
New podcast episodes appear throughout the week (Monday through Thursday, with a few exceptions). Articles get published throughout the week as well.
Have fun! Feel free to ask any questions. The crew around here is darned friendly and helpful.
