Greetings nerds!
The Lunduke Journal needs your help!
As you all know, The Lunduke Journal of Technology is 100% independent — I accept no advertising or sponsorship, of any kind, from any company. While this means I can say whatever I want (without any fear of censorship)… it also means I, as a publication, am 100% dependent on subscription revenue.
And the single largest driver of new subscribers to The Lunduke Journal… are the big, big shows (such as “Linux Sucks”). Those types of shows are responsible for the largest percentage of new subscriptions for the entire year.
Since I am down with Measles — that means the next two big shows (“macOS Sucks”, originally scheduled for this weekend, and the next “Linux Sucks”) both need to be postponed until the end of February.
All of which means The Lunduke Journal needs to find a way to make up for that lost revenue (which is pretty significant). (All while I recover from Measles and am unable to record any sort of new show for a few weeks.)
So I am coming all of you — the amazing nerds of the Lunduke Journal community — requesting your help. Specifically, the following would make a world of difference to the day-to-day operation of this publication over the next month (while I fully recover):
Spread the word — Tell people how awesome this publication and community are. Tell them about the books, videos, articles, monthly PDF magazine, and podcasts. Tell your friends. Post on social media. This is a huge help!
Upgrade your subscription — If you have a standard (or free) subscription, now would be an amazing time to consider one of the fancy-shmancy subscription options. Those come with access to both publications, and full access to both Substack and Locals. Which is pretty sweet.
One-time supports — If you are already a Founding Member or Lifetime Subscriber — and you just have way too much money burning a hole in your pocket (lol!) — one-time supports can also make a big difference. Those can be done via Lunduke.Locals.com/support.
Every single bit of support — big or small — means the absolute world. However you can help — be it subscriptions, one time supports, spreading the word, or even just sending good vibes — it is tremendously appreciated.
You are, without question, the most amazing group of nerds on planet Earth.
