Let the great Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V commence!
Apple and Microsoft recently bumped their minimum system requirements to 16 gigs of RAM (mostly to accommodate new AI features in Windows and macOS).
How much RAM will we need to have in 5 years? Let's look at the RAM usage trajectory of personal computers to figure out what we'll need to have in the near future.

Ads are filling the entirety of the Web -- websites, podcasts, YouTube videos, etc. -- at an increasing rate. Prices for those ad placements are plummeting. Consumers are desperate to use ad-blockers to make the web palatable. Google (and others) are desperate to break and block ad-blockers. All of which results in... more ads and lower pay for creators.
It's a fascinatingly annoying cycle. And there's only one viable way out of it.

Those in power with openSUSE make it clear they will not allow me anywhere near anything related to the openSUSE project. Ever. For any reason.
Well, that settles that, then! Guess I won't be contributing to openSUSE! 🤣

Been quite a few weeks since we've done a Q & A show... Let's fix that!
You know the drill: Ask any question you like in the comments of this post.
Only requirement: Gotta be nerdy. Retro computing. Modern software or hardware. Opinions. Advice. Hypotheticals. Serious or goofy. Anything nerdy is fair game!
Then read through the questions and give the Thumbs Up to your favorites.
I'll sort by the most liked and answer as many as I can during a show this week!
The Lunduke Journal is the last bastion of truly independent Tech Journalism -- covering topics that, literally, no other Computer News outlet is willing to touch.
How is that possible?
Because The Lunduke Journal doesn't take a single penny from Big Tech... and runs zero ads. Ever.
Want to help? Here are some of the ways you can help support the mission of The Lunduke Journal.
The most common way of supporting The Lunduke Journal is simply to pick up a standard Monthly or Yearly subscription via Lunduke.Locals.com. This gives you full access to the main community site on Lunduke.Locals.com and makes sure you will get every exclusive book, article, and video released.
Want the benefits of a Standard Monthly subscription... but want to pay once and never need to pay again? For life? Want to support The Lunduke Journal, in a big way, right up front? The Lifetime Subscription is a great option: for $300 USD.
Looking to make a donation to The Lunduke Journal, but not looking for anything in return? Just because you are an awesome person?

Here's a handy-dandy QR code you can scan that also has a Bitcoin Wallet Address for The Lunduke Journal:
Note: You can also make one-time donations via Bitcoin using that same address. Be sure to email "[email protected]" if you'd like to make it known who is making the donation.
If you are looking for other ways to donate to The Lunduke Journal -- there are options!
Note: These options do not come with any of the exclusive perks available at Lunduke.Locals.com. If you are looking for perks, scroll up and grab a Lunduke.Locals.com subscription.
No matter how you choose to contribute to the work of The Lunduke Journal: Thank you!
None of this would be possible without the generosity of all of you amazing nerds. Because of you, we are 100% free from all Big Tech influence.
Which is a pretty amazing thing.
Whew! This was one, seriously legal week here at The Lunduke Journal!
And, once again, most of this news was only covered by The Lunduke Journal. Wired, Verge, Gizmodo, The Register, or TechCrunch? Not a peep about about the IBM and Mozilla lawsuits.
Fun Factoid: The first round of IBM & Red Hat Leaks was 195 days ago. 195 days. Now resulting in multiple lawsuits against IBM (including now by the government). And not one of the major Tech News outlets -- all of which are funded by Big Tech advertising -- has covered that story. Worth asking why.
