How to Support The Lunduke Journal
(and keep truly independent Tech Journalism alive and rocking)
March 31, 2024

Looking to subscribe to The Lunduke Journal (or simply contribute to the work)?  There are 4 different -- but equally fantastic -- options available.

Ranging from simple subscriptions... to Lifetime options and one-time donations.

1) Grab a Monthly / Yearly Subscription

If you don't already have a subscription to The Lunduke Journal, grabbing one is super easy.

  1. Go to Lunduke.Locals.com/support.
  2. Click "Subscribe" and choose either a "Monthly" or "Annual" option.

You now have full access to the exclusive goodies at The Lunduke Journal: A dozen, DRM-free PDF e-Books, exclusive articles and videos, and full access to The Lunduke Journal community on Locals.

2) Grab a Lifetime Subscription

What if you want to pay once... and never again?  You can get access to the entirety of The Lunduke Journal -- for $335.  Pay once.  No recurring payment necessary.

  1. Go to Lunduke.Locals.com/support.
  2. Click "Give Once".
  3. Enter $335 in the editable field.
  4. Lunduke will then grant you full access.  For life.
  5. Never pay another dime.  Neat, right?

[ Have some Bitcoin in your wallet?  You can also save a few bucks by grabbing a Lifetime Triple Pass with Bitcoin. ]

3) Make a donation to independent Tech Journalism

Want to support The Lunduke Journal -- and keep independent Tech Journalism alive -- but not looking for anything in return?  There are two great ways to do it.

A one-time donation via Locals:

  1. Go to Lunduke.Locals.com/support.
  2. Click "Give Once".
  3. Enter any mount you like into the editable field.
  4. Enjoy the warm, fuzzy feelings.

A one-time donation via Bitcoin:

Have some Bitcoin burning a hole in your wallet?

  1. Send Bitcoin (any amount) to the following address:

If you would like your donation to be anonymous... you're done.  But if you want the identity behind your donation to be known, toss an email to: "[email protected]".

Or, alternately, scan the QR code below to send Bitcoin to The Lunduke Journal Bitcoin wallet.

All amounts of one-time donations are greatly appreciated.  Even the smallest donations add up to make a big difference.

The futility of Ad-Blockers

Ads are filling the entirety of the Web -- websites, podcasts, YouTube videos, etc. -- at an increasing rate. Prices for those ad placements are plummeting. Consumers are desperate to use ad-blockers to make the web palatable. Google (and others) are desperate to break and block ad-blockers. All of which results in... more ads and lower pay for creators.

It's a fascinatingly annoying cycle. And there's only one viable way out of it.

openSUSE says "No Lunduke allowed!"

Those in power with openSUSE make it clear they will not allow me anywhere near anything related to the openSUSE project. Ever. For any reason.

Well, that settles that, then! Guess I won't be contributing to openSUSE! 🤣
