According to a recent report, "DevRel" (aka "Developer Relations & Community Management") is the fastest growing Tech Industry profession that is "totally critical" and "for sure not a made up, pointless job."
The Lunduke Journal contacted one prominent DevRel expert in order to learn about what the day to day workload looks like for a rockstar Developer Relations Community Manager -- and generally better understand this exciting field.
"I take the specifications from one set of developers and bring them down to the other developers," stated the DevRel Manager. "Because developers are not good at dealing with developers."
When asked for specifics on the DevRel process, the expert provided valuable information and best practices.
"Look, I already told you," exclaimed the DevRel Manager. "I deal with the [CENSORED] developers so the other developers don't have to! I have people skills! Can't you understand that? What the [CENSORED] is wrong with you people?"
If you would like more information on this increasingly critical field there are 14 different DevRel conferences, taking place in the next 30 days, which are absolutely not just a way for people to get their respective companies to pay for a short vacation.
