I've gotten a few questions about the "Lifetime Subscriptions" multiple times. So thought I'd just answer them here for everyone. Makes it easier for me. š
Q: Is it better for the Lunduke Journal for people to do monthly, yearly, or lifetime?
A: The monthly subscribers are the most common, and growing rather well. So having some people move to yearly or lifetime helps me to tackle some of the various bigger expenses as the total subscriber base grows. Having some people move to the long term subscriptions is definitely a helpful thing.
Q: Is it beffer to use Substack or Locals for the Lifetime sub?
A: Truthfully, either. It's slightly easier to use Locals as you can do a one-time support. But otherwise is about the same for both me and you. Heck you can even use a combination of both. š¤£
Q: If I already do a Yearly or Founding can I just pay the difference?
A: For sure. I'm easy.
Q: Are there any differences between Founding Member and Lifetime?
A: Only the duration. Founding subscription lasts for a year. Lifetime lasts... for a lifetime. š¤Ŗ
Q: What happens if The Lunduke Journal adds or moves to a new platform?
A: The Lifetime subscription is for The Lunduke Journal. Not just Substack or Locals. If one of those services close, and we move to a new one, your subscription comes with. (This applies for Yearly subs as well.) I keep a spreadsheet. It is very fancy. š (All that said, there are no plans to migrate to a different service.)
That covers the most common questions. Feel free to ask any you have -- about anything really -- in the comments and I'll answe 'em.
