Ok, so I'm starting to get a good handle on all the logistics related to a trading card print run. It's actually pretty straight forward.
The two things that will impact the specific cost are:
- How many we'll be printing
- And where they'll be shipping to
To help me get a handle on numbers, let's do a quick poll. Only vote in the poll if you really want to buy a set of these retro computer trading / playing cards. :)
It's looking like there'll be 60 cards in total for this print. Computers, peripherals, and a few "special" cards. I've got a game-play mechanic worked out based on other existing game designs (actually two games).
I'm thinking some people will want specific cards, while other people will probably just want all of them. So my thinking is possibly break it up into four "booster pack" type sets (with the exact contents of each available so people can choose which ones they want). Or a person can order all of them together (which makes it a fair bit cheaper because of shipping and whatnot).
All cards are the good quality stuff. Double sided. Fancy shmancy.
Theoretical price (this could change depending on how many people want to buy it):
- 15 card booster pack: $15
- 60 card pack of everything: $40
This price would INCLUDE shipping within the USA. So that's the total price for USA based orders.
If people are outside of the USA... the prices can fluctuate wildly because of shipping. Sometimes shipping can get really expensive to UK and EU (like $30 or $40 in some cases).
For using as a game: You'll need 30 cards per player. Wanted to note that.
