Yes. Yes that is Space Quest III running on the HP 200LX using a special made CGA driver for the game engine. (https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&p=958845 - yes insanely cool!!) I also have it running on the HP OB 425 but that is nothing to brag about. That machine is more than qualified to run it.
SQ3 was my favorite of the series, because as a kid the idea of fixing up a ship to get out of somewhere just appealed to me very much. So awesome that I can do it all over again on a little palm device running on 2 AA batteries. Retro computing at its finest. I mean even the PC speaker theme song sounds intensely awesome.
Let's hang out and talk about nerdy things. Linux. Retro computers. Old video games. Alternative OS's. Stuff that makes us smile. You can join the chat and ask questions.
Well that didn't work well! lol! My data connection took a nose dive! I'll get it sorted and we'll tru this again tomorrow. :)
A casual "May the Fourth" live video
How I described this interview back when I first released it in 2019:
“I get to hang out with the papa of Nerdcore, MC Frontalot, to talk about his new album, Net Split, his break-up album (sorta) with the Internet. We then talk about 300 baud modems on C64's and other things that prove how old we are. In other news: I love my job.”
Worth noting: I still love my job.

All the Lunduke Journal Perks:
Just saw the latest Shadiversity video on YouTube, and it was funny and cool and (for geeks like me, who are both writers and game programmers) always full of useful info. But it reminded me of something. Something I've been meaning to find out more about, but been too chicken to admit on a community of super-nerds like this.
I'll paste it here (Locals sticks it at the bottom, but this is just for reference, lol).
I have a confession to make... I have never played Dungeons & Dragons.
I know, a medieval adventure loving geek like me, the community's #1 Narnia fanboy, a geek with multiple fantasy/adventure games in the works... has never played D&D. 🤣
This is partly because, as a kid, I was told that it was not a good thing. My parents thought it was evil. My non-nerdy friends thought it was for losers. It's also partly because even my nerdy friends didn't play it (or at least didn't tell me about it). It just wasn't a ...
Ah, that feels better. Getting back into the swing of things. Got tomorrow's history article loaded up and scheduled for tomorrow morning.
It was a fun one for me to research as I lay here sick in bed. 😉

The rules around here are super simple:
1) Be Excellent to Each Other.
2) No cursin' or posting material you couldn't show on prime-time TV in the 1980's.
That's it, really! Be cool and keep it clean so folks can enjoy this at work and around their kids.
Oh, and nerdiness is encouraged. The nerdier the better.
